DNA and RNA are two of the most important components of biology and life as we know it. The DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is composed of two strands molecules  with a sequence of nucleotides, which are made of sugar-deoxyribose, phosphate, and nitrogen bases. Each strand contains four molecules called bases: adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G) and cytosine (C). These bases are linked together by hydrogen bonds that connect one side of the ladder to the other. In this way, DNA is able to store information about the structure and function of living things in a very efficient manner. DNA is found inside the nucleus of a cell and is responsible for the transmission of genetic information from one generation to another.

RNA (ribonucleic acid) is a type of nucleic acid molecule found in all living organisms. It is a single-stranded molecule composed of ribonucleotides which are composed of a ribose sugar, a nitrogenous base(adenine, guanine, cytosine, and uracil) and a phosphate group. RNA plays an essential role in the transfer of genetic information from DNA to proteins, and also serves as an intermediate molecule between genes and proteins. RNA also plays important roles in gene expression, regulation of gene expression, and protein synthesis.
